I m putting this question before you people, to get a clear picture of what inspires one to start writing his/her blogs? Is it the excitement of telling something that you know or the depression of inability to convey your thoughts via other media?

I don,t think it is inability to express thoughts, but rather you can blog only if you have some thoughts and you want to express it and you have the ability to express it.
I started it for time pass. but you know its fun. Now I know I got some writing capabilities. And one more reason is to earn money with adds ;)
According to me there are so many people who are able to convey their thoughts using another media very well but today internet is an another world.It is very easy to connect people and share thoughts each other which brings and tights intimacy.
hahah....i will give a one perspective on this ..People start writing essay in school days...after they leave the school there is no way they can write or express themselves..so i would suggest thats the reason people write blogs..and after all readers like me always want some body to write blogs so that i can read and comment. Though i dont write blogs, I love reading others. So ppl keep writing blogs and keep me happy too..
I can talk about myself why i started blogging because i was left with no choice...it was an assignment for 5 marks u see..But now when i have started doing it i am liking it. U can seriously write your thoughts and share it with others and also u get to know about others views.

I think blogging helps you to develop a community sharing similar likes and dislikes.
I have not yet started blogging yet. but i think after starting i'll get habituated of it.
but i think to write a blog on some academic topic and reading is very irritating job for me........
It is just a way of sharing ur knowledge with people. and if ur wrong people can give suggestions to improve upon it. It is great experience. But it will be some time when we become regular to blog..
so continue blogging.
